Trees look great in winter
Trees look great in winter and here is a more arty look at some I must have passed this place hundreds of times over the years.
On a sunny day on the way home from Kelso in the Scottish Borders I made an impromptu stop and went to explore. Interlaced between the ruined arches masonry, the trees grow across the site of a once important historic castle although now there is little to see with only a few walls are still standing.
Roxburgh Castle stands at a bend of the River Tweed and the access was awkward and you really need to take care if you visit, see Simon Forder's blog about his visit for more info on access. Enjoy the photos and happy tree spotting next time you are out and about.
